Littleton Museum

July 23rd we visited the Littleton Museum with Eli! The boys loved looking at the old house that was built in 1860. We also sat in an old school house and walked around the farm. Preston's favorite was watching the black smith make things with hot iron. Reed's favorite was the cows and Eli said he really loved the farm made out of hay. Little Feet in the sheets!
Prestons feet are on the right and Reeds are on the left!Preston got stung by a bee today for the first time! The bee got him on his left cheek. The funny part of this.... Reed got stung by two wasps last Thursday... one on his left cheek! Earlier this morning Reed looked in the mirror and said "Reed is soooo handsome! He looks just like a BIRD". Our silly little Goose.
Glendo Lake - July 18th

Boating time! We started our trip to Lake Guernsey and when we arrived there was no water! So we traveled on over to Glendo. Our camp buddies were Jim Roose, Leann Estey and the King family. We spent 9 hours on the boat! Preston was pulled on a knee board for the first time. He did great as he managed to go back and forth in the wake. Reed jumped into the middle of the lake by himself! Both boys drove the boat. Preston got a giant bug in his pants... poor thing.
After we dropped the boat off Reed said "Oh no! The boat is going to cry! Don't cry boat. It will be ok"
Preston's camp at Avid 4 Adventures
July 5th - Preston and Brandon Burgner attended a camp called Avid 4 Adventure. They mountain biked, hiked and their favorite part was spending the afternoon on a canoe at Cherry Creek Reservoir.
July 4th - Vail

We spent the long weekend in Vail. Friday we hosted a BBQ at the park with the Handler's, Roose's, Riley's, Thiret's, Tellinger's, Newman's and the Domich's! Fun in the sun with over 40 kids and adults. That night we watched a spectacular fire works show in Avon. It was Reeds first fireworks show. He said "Cool! Now Mom can we turn it off? Where is the remote to turn it off Mommy?" After the show finished he said "Are the fireworks sleeping?"
The next day the Handler family signed us up for a ride on the Firetruck through the Vail parade! Wow. What a great experience! Later we attended the Thiret's BBQ and played leap frog and Red Rover!
